Artist and cultural historian Danny Keen explores how the British blues revival of the 1960s blossomed into a global pop-culture phenomenon, with the UK overtaking America as the Rock and Roll capital of the globe. Join Danny to hear how Norfolk played a part in the story and enjoy some of the music that defined the era.
Includes a special live music performance.
This event is part of Beyond the Bassline, an exhibition which shines a spotlight on different voices and perspectives. This celebrates Black British music as a form of entertainment and vehicle for community, as well as a source of liberation, protest and education.
