Our Freedom, Our Place

DROP-IN SESSIONS

THE HIVE, GREAT YARMOUTH LIBRARY

We’re working with the American Library to collect memories of life in Great Yarmouth. As part of Our Freedom: Then and Now, a new UK-wide, locally-led arts programme reflecting on what ‘Our Freedom’ means to local people and their communities, following the 80th anniversary of VE/VJ Day and the end of the Second World War.

We’ll be at Great Yarmouth Library over the next few weeks, and would love to hear your stories and take a look at any memorabilia from Great Yarmouth’s entertainment and leisure history. We’re particularly interested in your memories of film, music, comedy and theatre from the 1950’s – 1990’s.
