REVOLUTIONS is a programme of pop-up screenings of films that shine a light on some of the diverse creative and political voices that have challenged and transformed both music and society.

From the, largely untold, history of electronic music’s women pioneers in Sisters with Transistors (2020) to the relationship between punk and protest in the 1970’s with White Riot (2019) and the thrilling archive footage that documents the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival in Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) (2021).

REVOLUTIONS is a partnership project with Creative Arts East, and is supported by Film Hub South East and the BFI’s Film Audience Network.

Selected screenings will include extracts from Forever Young; a documentary compilation of clips from the Anglia Television collection at the East Anglian Film Archive that celebrates the diversity of British youth cultures through the 1970s and 80’s.
